Rentals – Dale Music offers a large selection of name brand student and professional string, wind, and brass instruments for rental-to-purchase. We currently offer two rental plans: a Three Month Renewable Rental, and a School Year Lease. The School Year Lease plan begins in fall and culminates on June 15th. Rentals not returned within two weeks of the culmination date are subject to late fees as small as 50 cents per day or as much as the next three month rental period, plus a 10% late fee. Rentals as short as one week are available, please call for more information. All rentals are based on the price of the specific instrument being rented.

The Three Month Renewable Rental rate remains the same for each three month period. Each three month period must be paid in advance. Only the first twelve months of rental applies toward purchase. You must have established credit (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover). Security deposit is required. Local rentals only (DC/MD/VA metropolitan area).

Repair and Replacement Warranty – Dale Music now offers an optional Repair and Replacement Warranty for all instrument rentals. This warranty relieves the customer of any further financial liability should the instrument be damaged, lost due to theft, or destroyed by fire or other accident. Purposeful damage, or damage due to neglect, is not covered by the warranty, and the customer will be responsible for any repair costs. With the demands and hazards of playing and transporting an expensive and delicate instrument in a school setting, the Repair and Replacement Warranty offers greater peace of mind. Many of our rental instruments are previously used, but new instruments are available only from brands with asterisks(i.e. ‘Vito*’). All used instruments are cleaned and repaired to Playing Condition prior to rental.
